Who We Are
NPT Attendance is an internal attendance tracking service used by NPT and authorized organizational users. In this policy, we, us, and our refer to the organization operating NPT Attendance.
Information We Collect
Account and employee profile data
Mobile number, name, username, role, assigned city, company, site, authentication status, and related profile settings used to identify authorized employees and administrators.
Attendance records
Check-in and check-out times, shift status, attendance history, notes, and related audit information needed to manage attendance.
Camera and selfie data
Selfies captured during check-in or check-out, image metadata, and face-detection quality signals used to verify that attendance is being marked by the correct person.
Location data
GPS coordinates, accuracy, timestamps, site-distance checks, and mock-location indicators. During an active shift, the app may collect background location pings to verify on-site attendance and support offline sync.
Device, network, and diagnostic data
Device platform, app version, connectivity state, error logs, crash details, and security signals used to keep the service reliable and prevent misuse.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and protect dashboard access.
- Record, verify, and display attendance for employees, managers, and administrators.
- Confirm that attendance actions happen at approved work locations.
- Detect fraud, mock locations, suspicious movement, duplicate records, and other integrity issues.
- Sync data when a device reconnects after temporary network loss.
- Maintain app security, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
- Comply with employer policies, contractual obligations, and applicable law.
Camera, Face, and Location Permissions
Camera access is requested so employees can capture attendance selfies. Location access is requested so attendance can be verified against approved work sites. Background location may be used only during an active shift to create location pings, detect attendance integrity issues, and sync records after temporary network loss. The app does not request microphone access.
When We Share Information
- Authorized NPT administrators, managers, site incharges, and city leads according to their assigned access level.
- Service providers that host or process the app, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Cloudflare R2 for image storage where configured, backend hosting providers, and optional diagnostics providers such as PostHog when enabled.
- Legal, compliance, or safety recipients when required by law or needed to protect users, the organization, or the service.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use attendance selfies or location data for advertising.
Storage and Security
Information is stored using protected backend systems and access is limited by authentication, role-based permissions, and operational need. Some data may also be stored temporarily on the device to support login sessions, offline attendance sync, crash logs, and app settings. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable safeguards designed for attendance and workforce management data.
Retention
Attendance records, selfies, location pings, audit logs, and account data are retained for as long as needed for attendance administration, payroll or operational review, security, compliance, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Diagnostic data is kept only as long as reasonably needed for troubleshooting and reliability.
Your Choices and Rights
You can control camera and location permissions from your Android or iOS device settings. If required permissions are disabled, core attendance features may not work. To request access, correction, deletion, or questions about your attendance data, contact your NPT administrator, HR representative, or app support contact.
Children
NPT Attendance is intended for authorized workforce and administrative use. It is not directed to children and should not be used by anyone who is not authorized by the organization.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the app, our data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new Last updated date.
